Painting

This is a (pre-framed) painting my sister asked me to do as a wedding gift for one of her girlfriends. She wanted something reminiscent of the marshes we all grew up on in Sackville, NB. I'm pretty happy with how it turned out considering I normally work on much larger canvases.

I've been enjoying working with a palette knife a lot lately. This is a textured triptych painting of a Newfoundland landscape I made a while ago for our living room.

I would really like to do some more paintings, and perhaps even try to see if I can somehow sell them either online or locally. Anyone have any suggestions? Must. Get. Motivated.

  1. Etsy works well for selling if you keep your stock up to date. It's great to use in conjunction with a blog because you can add an Etsy widget to your side navigation so blog readers can see what's new in your shop and you can blog about updates and new product.

Your paintings are great! I think you could do very well selling online. Good luck!

  2. I agree with Lindsey - Esty's is the place to sell art if you wanted to do it online. I have a couple of art-y friends who sell jewelry on that site, and it seems to work well for them.

Keep us posted if you’re going to be selling your paintings in the future :) I would LOVE to have another JSnow original hanging in my living room. (if you recall you painted me a Mickey Mouse paiting for my 19th B-day).
